If you wish to arrange access to the trail with transfers included, you can hire the services of any of the Camino del barranco de Masca partner tourism companies.

If you are making your own way

The descent ticket includes transport from Santiago del Teide.

If you are travelling to Santiago del Teide in a private vehicle, you must park in the cemetery car park.

You can then walk (a short walk of about 10 minutes) to the meeting point at the TITSA bus stop.

The first pick-up is at 7.00am, with services running every 20-25 minutes. The estimated journey time is around 20 minutes. Since you must go through the checkpoint at the Masca Visitors’ Centre 30 minutes before the time of your booking, you need to be at the pick-up point at least 1 hour before your booked descent time slot. You must show your trail booking to access this service.

It is essential that you also show a proof of having used the transport included in your ticket to access the trail. Otherwise, you will be refused access.

ARRIVING AT THE START OF THE MASCA GORGE TRAIL BY ANY VEHICLE OTHER THAN THE TRANSFER INCLUDED WITH YOUR TICKET IS PROHIBITED.

Please bear in mind that your ticket does not include the return transfer from Los Gigantes (landing port) to the original pick-up point in Santiago del Teide. You need to have arranged your eventual return transport by other means.

Please remember that before starting on the trail, you must register at the access control point, where a check will be made to ensure you have all the compulsory equipment and documentation. For this reason, you need to arrive half an hour in advance of your slot at the start point, i.e. at the Masca Visitors’ Centre.

In addition to the entrance ticket for your trail booking, you must also show the following at the checkpoint:

• Boat ticket for the Masca Bay-destination port journey.

When making your booking, please confirm that you have the sea transport ticket needed; if you do not have this tickets you will be refused entry.

For the descent only, you must buy your boat ticket for the return journey no more than 4 hours after your reserved slot for the descent of the gorge.

Please remember that the return transfer from Los Gigantes (landing port) to the original pick-up point in Santiago del Teide is not included in your ticket. If you need to return to Santiago del Teide, you must plan how to get there by other means.
